It is based on the famous Nickolodian cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender. however the Avatar part of the name was taken out due to the release of James Cameron's Avatar.The official plot: The story follows the adventures of Aang, a young successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations.
The movie has no firearms but has a variety of handheld melee weapons that each character uses valiently.
Aang's Staff
Aang is seen always weilding his signiture custom Bo Staff. he can utilize this weapon to contol the air around him and use it to suit his fighting needs. The special thing about this Bo Staff is that it isn't just a staff. It actually opens out into a glider in which he can manipulate the air currents to fly. The Staff is ornate with many Air Nomad Symbols all over it and is used throughout the film.

The Blue Spirit's Dual Dao Blades
When Prince Zuko attempts to free Aang from the Fire Nation prison, he uses two blue tinted Dao Swords. He uses these swords as his primary weapons throughout the battle.
